The Originals em breve estará filmando seu novo episódio piloto para a temporada de outono na CW, mas no dia 16 de maio, no The CW Upfronts , eles falaram sobre The Originals e seus personagens. The Originals will soon be filming their new pilot episode for the Fall season on The CW, but on May 16th, at The CW Upfronts, they talked about The Originals and their characters. There have also been some spoilers that they’ve shared in other interviews. Even though some of theseinterviews have been posted before, it’s always fun to view them again, especially the one where Daniel Gillies says he wants to be pants-less! September and October will be major months for Daniel since he and his wife are expecting the birth of their first child in September, and October will probably be the month that The Originals premieres on The CW!

The Originals cast took the time to reveal 5 spoilers about the new series. As we venture through the summer months, awaiting it’s debut, there will hopefully be many more.

We know the witches plot is what brought Klaus to New Orleans. They need Klaus as much as he needs them. They both want to take the city back, but for different reasons. The Klayley baby is just one small pawn in the bigger battle for New Orleans. With Uncle Elijah and Aunt Rebekah, hopefully it will be a cherished pawn in name only.

Daniella Pineda’s spoiler about the “Witches’ Revenge”

Klaus needs [Sophie]. She’s going to start practicing magic, which she hasn’t been able to do for the the longest time and I think I can protect myself. Witches aren’t nearly as powerful as vampires, but they are essential.

The power struggle between Marcel and Klaus will be the focal point of the series as they go fang to fang for control of the city.

[Klaus and Marcel] are going to be butt heads, definitely. There’s that friction there. I just really want to see [Marcel] evolve. I want to see different sides of him open up. That’s definitely going to happen I think with how competitive and ambitious they both are.

There’s been a lot of speculation as to what role Cami will play in the power struggle. Marcel seems enthralled by her, while Klaus may think he’s found somebody who may finally understand his inner struggles. But he’ll never give up Caroline, no matter what might happen with Cami, or Sophie, or whomever else might catch his eye.

I hope that Klaus gets Cami as a friend. Because Cami believes that everyone is truly good and I hope that Klaus has someone in his life that believes he’s a good person.

They say familiarity breeds contempt, and while there might not be contempt between Klaus and Elijah, there’s definitely friction and sibling rivalry. That will probably never stop, since it’s been going on for centuries. Power vs family. Elijah wants family and redemption for Klaus. Klaus wants family, but he wants power, too. He always wants his family and friends to be loyal, no matter what dastardly deeds he inflicts on his family and others.

It’s just going to be that ultimate dynamic of Elijah in pursuit of making certain that the family is reinstated as they once were, which is sort of this pursuit of a fantasy, almost. And Klaus is a lot more malevolently in pursuit of power. It’s no less of a fantasy. And it’s sort of watching those two dynamics intersect. — Daniel Gillies

We ended the backdoor pilot in a good place, moving forward together, a tentative partnership between us. But as things complicate, as the series pans out, there’s room for throwing that up in the air. As far as the baby is concerned, I can’t imagine that we both have identical plans of how this child should be raised. So I imagine we’re going to have a conflict of interest. – Joseph Morgan

As for the baby, there’s always conflict when the subject of how a child should be raised comes up, so why should it be different in a vampire / werewolf family? As Joseph points out, the baby will add a whole new level of complications into the mix that will help to make the series interesting.

I don’t think they know how it’s exactly going to play out either yet, so I think that’s what is going to keep it really fresh. But there are a lot of other surprises beside the baby. I think that’s really the cliffhanger, but it’s all going to be really exciting. — Danielle Campbell

I didn’t for the life of me see [the baby surprise] coming and I’m so happy with the potential it gives us for exploring these characters. The Originals have always revolved around this idea of family and I think the baby storyline really gives us a chance for that to escalate, way beyond what it would have done just keeping it the three of us. — Joseph Morgan

At the recent CW Upfronts in New York City this past Thursday, May 16th, seemed like everybody wanted a piece of Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, and as many of The Originals cast as they could corner with their mics! One of the mics belonged to Kristin Dos Santos of E!

During the interview Joseph suggested The Originals might be similar to the “Three Men and a Baby” movie, although it would probably be named “Two Vamps and a Baby” unless Marcel, Charles Michael Davis, joined in!

I hope with Charles as well as we can go for the Three Men and a Baby!

Daniel Gillies chimed in and decided that he would be the Tom Selleck character, while Josephcould be the Steven Guttenberg character. You can tell from the rapport that Joseph and Daniel have in the interview that the set of The Originals will be filled with fun and gaiety! And those dimples of Joseph when he smiles just makes you melt all over and want to give him a big hug. His face just lights up, which is so different from Klaus when he’s being all serious and dangerous.

Joseph Morgan revealed that he was caught off-guard by the baby news, just like many new fathers are. He knew that Hayley, played by Phoebe Tonkin, was going to have a baby, but he was totally clueless that Klaus was going to be the father.

Joseph and Daniel both agree that The Originals will be a much more edgier, darker, and sexier show compared to The Vampire Diaries, which is more like a coming-of-age story. The creatures in The Originals will embrace and revel in their supernatural nature. We all saw the reveling in The Originals pilot with Marcel and his merry band of vamps in The French Quarter.

Joseph also hopes that as the fans of The Vampire Diaries grow up that they can grow up with The Originals and have something a little more adult as they become adults.

SPOILERS SOBRE O SPIN OFF - Primeiras cenas de “The Originals”, o episódio spin-off de Vampire Diaries

A CW acaba de divulgar duas cenas de “The Originals”, o 20º episódio de Vampire Diaries que pode dar vida a uma série derivada com Klaus como protagonista.

No primeiro vídeo, Rebekah e Elijah conversam sobre a partida de Klaus de Mystic Falls. O Original segue rumo a Nova Orleans em uma missão de “silenciar e destruir” as bruxas que estão conspirando contra ele.

Além de acompanharmos um pouco da nova cidade, o sneak peek também mostra a alegria de Rebekah ao especular que as bruxas descobriram uma forma de acabar com Klaus de uma vez por todas. Elijah chama a atenção da irmã, mas ela não está nem um pouco interessada no conceito de família compartilhado por ali.

Já a cena seguinte revela que Elijah foi atrás do irmão em Nova Orleans e afirma ter descoberto quem é o responsável por conspirar contra Klaus. Confira:

Vampire Diaries Claire Holt video talks about The Originals

Although Claire Holt was originally just a recurring guest star playing Rebekah on The Vampire Diaries, she quickly proved herself a dynamic and complex character that we all fell in love with. Her popularity landed her a permanent role on The Vampire Diaries backdoor pilot “The Originals” which will air on April 25th. Claire Holt, who is only 24, is already an accomplished actress, being able to effortlessly stride the line between nasty villain and emotionally wounded young woman with charm and charisma. She’s a natural for an Original vampire. 

In a recent Zap2It interview between scenes with Nina Dobrev and Nina’s body double, Claire Holt talked about her character, Rebekah, and Nina Dobrev‘s Katherine coming face-to-face. 

Claire’s take on Rebekah and Katherine

It’s kind of funny. They’re so similar in a way, but so different in a way. I think Rebekah likes having the power. She likes controlling situations. I think she’s liked to play that sort of vixen role in Mystic Falls, and Katherine has been the ultimate vixen, so I don’t think they’re going to be the best of friends, that’s for sure. 

As for the cure, Rebekah wants it. She wants to be human again, in spite of Damon’s warning that an ordinary life isn’t something she’d be happy having. Right now that’s her whole abiding mission. She feels it’s her destiny. But if she gets the cure, and finally has it in her cold undead hands, will she really take it? A thousand years of immortality and seeing all the changes that have happened in and to the world over the centuries, while she remained young and beautiful, can be addicting. So would she really do it? 

Claire’s thoughts on Rebekah and the cure 

Who knows, if and when she gets the cure, if that happens, if it comes into her possession, whether she’ll really pull the trigger. But I think she thinks it’s a really nice romantic idea. 

Where romance is concerned, we’ve all seen the sparks between Rebekah and Stefan. According to Paul Wesley, he thinks there’s real feelings between Rebekah and Stefan, but Claire thinks any relationship between them is doomed. But you never really know what will happen between the different characters and how their lives will intertwine when it comes to The Vampire Diaries universe. 

In Claire Holt‘s Zap2It interview she talks about working with her best friend Phoebe Tonkin on “The Originals” and what it was like working with two Nina Dobrevs – Elena and Katherine. Claire also confesses to what she’s looking forward to when her character Rebekah reunites with her brothers, Klaus and Elijah!
